Personal Injuries

Whether it was a car accident, a fall on an icy Western New York sidewalk, or a collision during a weekend activity, an unexpected injury can leave you sore, stiff, and unsure what to do next. Pain does not always show up right away, so it is worth getting checked.

At Good Neighbor Chiropractic of WNY in Clarence, Dr. Julie Gross, DC, MSACN takes the time to listen, examine, and explain what she finds so you can make confident decisions about your care.

Common Signs After an Injury

  • Neck or upper back pain and stiffness, including after a car accident

  • Low back pain that makes sitting, standing, or bending uncomfortable

  • Headaches that began after an accident or fall

  • Shoulder, hip, or joint soreness that limits movement

  • Tingling, numbness, or pain that travels into an arm or leg

  • Muscle tightness or spasms that do not ease with rest

Common Causes

Personal injuries can happen in many everyday situations, including:

  • Car accidents, even low-speed ones

  • Slips, trips, and falls, including on ice and snow

  • Sports and recreational activities

  • Lifting or moving something awkwardly at home

  • Collisions or sudden impacts

Soreness can take hours or days to appear after an injury, so it helps to be evaluated even if you feel okay at first.

How Chiropractic Care Helps

Chiropractic care focuses on how your spine, joints, and muscles are moving and on easing the strain your body is under. Your visit may include:

  • A thorough history and exam to understand how your injury happened

  • Gentle chiropractic adjustments

  • Soft-tissue work to calm tight, overworked muscles

  • Movement and posture guidance to support your recovery

  • A personalized care plan based on your symptoms and goals

If your injury needs care beyond chiropractic, we will talk it through with you and help you find the right next step.

  • The date of the accident and a short description of what happened

  • Any accident or police report information you have

  • Your attorney’s name and contact information, if you are working with one
